The British Seasonal Produce Calendar

There’s nothing quite like making the most of the seasonal fruits and veggies. Although now the supermarkets stock these from farms all over the world, the seasons all seem to merge into one. My favourite seasons are when Asparagus, Rhubarb and Strawberries are all freshly available, mainly in the early Summer months. I also adore Samphire, in May (which is a very short season) and Tangerines at Christmas.

As the Brexit uncertainty continues, and trade agreements with other countries (mainly European) are changing, isn’t it time we came back to looking forward to eating produce at the time of year they should be appearing? It may not always be convenient, but here’s the list of what’s available and when.
